Casual Crashing: Burnout CRASH! officially announced

If you've played most of Criterion Games' Burnout titles, you'd probably enjoyed the crash junctions, speeding your vehicle into oncoming traffic to rack up the highest possible score. Well, EA and Criterion has announced Burnout CRASH! for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

Previously rumoured over Australia's games ratings board, the game isn't quite a full-fledged Burnout racing title. Rather, it looks to be more of a casual game. Its revealed screenshots show a top-down view of a crash junction with a familiar taste of Burnout 3's Crash Mode.

Speaking of which, the gameplay is very much like Burnout's Crash Mode since players are still rewarded for causing a massive traffic collision and triggering explosions. It also uses Autolog to connect, compete and challenge other players to beat their scores on a leaderboard. The Xbox 360 version will also feature an exclusive game mode for use with the Kinect motion sensor.

Burnout CRASH! arrives as a downloadable for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this Fall.
