With effect from tomorrow (February 8th), all PlayStation Network accounts will take on its new identity as Sony Entertainment Network accounts, Sony Computer Entertainment has announced.

The transition comes to provide one identity for Sony's digital entertainment offering across games, movies and music from a single account. The PlayStation Network is still named as such.

This change, however, is purely ornamental and does not change user IDs or associated passwords. The change will be reflected in the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and on PlayStation 3 and PS Vitas, but not on PlayStation Portable systems.
